Sports Therapy at SPORTS CLINICAL

SPORTS THERAPY

Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of clients back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness and performance, regardless of age and ability.

It utilises the principles of sport and exercise sciences incorporating physiological, pathological and neurological processes to prepare the participant for training, competition or back to work readiness.

It will bring together an initial postural assessment, exercise science, movement analysis and advanced manual and neurological therapies to prepare or rehabilitate the participant for work, sporting activities and competition.

Sports Therapy may be used to aid recovery from injury using hot and cold therapies, stability and flexibility training or to help the competitive athlete stay at their peak performance with taping, muscle energy and fascial techniques, as well as pre and post event massage treatments as required.

What our clients say

"I recently had a Sports Therapy session with Becky at SPORTS CLINICAL. She was able to identify my shoulder pain, which the massage greatly eased. She provided me with a number of exercises to do afterwards. Would definitely recommend Becky. "
